My 100th Post

I have posted 100 times in just over 1 year. When I first started this blog last June, 100 posts seemed a long way off. Certainly more than one year! But now, here we are, post #100. I'm not sure why it seems so special, but it just is. It's like a milestone of some sort for my blog. I've made it this far, now let's get to the next goal...whatever that is.

I haven't decided what the next "big number" will be yet. I didn't purposely set 100 posts as a significant goal. I simply got excited when I saw "99" on my blog's Dashboard. (For those who don't know, that's where I write my blog from. I don't know why, that's just what it's called.) :-)

Anyway, now that I've rambled for a bit I suppose that I should include something "beneficial" for this, shall we say, monumental post. :-) Try this quiz (at the bottom of my post) by the Botkin sisters- and don't forget to read the verses in between the questions. Taking the quiz is definitely thought provoking. Am I really as wise as I think I am- or as Scripture says I should be?

When I read the verses from Proverbs describing the difference between a wise man and a fool, I realized that, while I am closer to the wise side of the scale, I still have work to do. I don't fit the stereotype that most people place on me because of my age and gender, but I'm far from being perfect. In my head I already realized all of this, but taking the quiz sort of hit it home again.

...Here I am rambling again... I guess I'll save my preaching for another post. Anyway (Yes, I know I say that a lot.), here's the quiz:

The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
 - Proverbs 15:14
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
- Psalm 1:1
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
 - Proverbs 9:6
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
- Proverbs 13:20
