Isn't That Interesting?

Scientists from the Imperial College (in) London who have been working on this decade-long project have now measured the shape of an electron. With the help of a large laser apparatus they have "...discovered that [an electron] differs from a perfect sphere by less than 0.000000000000000000000000001 of a centimeter -- so that 'if the electron were magnified to the size of the solar system, it would still appear spherical within the width of a human hair.'"

Okay, solar system- human hair- does anyone get how entirely huge that is?! It is a sphere perfect except to the width of a single human hair *if* magnified to solar system size! And this thing is so minute that it can only be possibly seen with special microscope equipment. What an amazing Elohim we serve!

The researcher leading the experiment is quoted as writing "I don't know of any naturally-occurring object that is rounder and has been measured to the same level of accuracy," said research leader Dr. Jony Hudson, writing in the journal Nature.

How interesting that one of the smallest and most basic particles which make up everything in this world are so perfectly shaped!
